Getting Started
Conduit is a virtual phone number service. You get a US or UK number, and calls to it forward to any phone in the world — no app required. It's built for digital nomads, remote workers, freelancers, and anyone who wants to keep their real number private.
When someone calls your Conduit number, we forward the call to whatever phone number you've set as your destination. Your phone rings like a normal call — the caller doesn't know they're being forwarded, and you don't need any app to answer.
No. Calls forward directly to your existing phone number. You manage everything from the web dashboard, but receiving calls works with any phone, anywhere in the world.
At launch, Conduit offers US and UK numbers. More countries are coming. Whichever number you choose, you can forward calls to anywhere in the world.
A few minutes. Choose a US or UK number, enter your forwarding destination, and you're done. Calls start forwarding right away.
Numbers & Coverage
Anywhere in the world. Your US or UK number can forward to any phone number — your local SIM, a landline, even a hotel phone. This is the whole point: a stable number that follows you across countries and devices.
Yes. When selecting your number, you can filter by area code to get a number that matches your preferred location within the US or UK.
Yes. Your first number is free with any plan. You can add more numbers from $5/mo for a US number or $9/mo for a UK number — each is its own line.
Yes. You can add a teammate to your account so they can help manage your numbers and forwarding.
Your number is released after cancellation. If you resubscribe quickly we can usually restore it; after it returns to the pool it may be assigned to someone else.
Yes. You can release your current number and choose a new one at any time from the dashboard. Changing numbers is permanent — you can't get a released number back.
Billing & Pricing
Three flat plans: Starter at $9/month (120 talk minutes), Nomad at $19/month (300 minutes), and Pro at $39/month (600 minutes). Annual billing saves around 20%. Your first number is free on every plan.
No. Pricing is flat. Each plan includes a talk-minute allowance, and there are no per-minute or overage fees. When you reach your allowance, calls roll to voicemail — a hard cap, so you never get a surprise bill.
Minutes are used when we connect a forwarded call between your Conduit number and the phone it rings on. SMS to email does not use talk minutes.
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades give you immediate access to the higher allowance; downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle.
Major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Yes. There are no contracts. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access until the end of that billing period.
Features
Log in to your dashboard, open the number you want to configure, and update the forwarding destination. Changes take effect immediately.
Yes — that's the core of Conduit. Your US or UK number can forward to any phone number worldwide. Perfect for travellers who change SIMs frequently.
Texts sent to your Conduit number are forwarded to your email. It's ideal for receiving verification codes and 2FA when you have no SIM.
Yes. SMS to email forwards the full message, including codes. Note: some short codes and automated services don't send to virtual numbers — if you hit that, contact support.
All plans include voicemail. If a call isn't answered — or you've reached your minute allowance — the caller can leave a message. You'll be notified by email and can listen in your dashboard.
Web calling (browser-based outbound calls) is coming soon. It isn't available yet. Today, Conduit focuses on forwarding incoming calls to any phone you choose.
Call recording is a Pro-plan feature we're building. When it ships, you'll be able to record important calls and replay or download them from your dashboard.
Privacy & Security
Yes. Your real phone number is never exposed to callers — they only see your Conduit number. Only you know where calls are forwarded.
Never. We don't sell, share, or monetize your personal data. We only use your information to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We process calls and texts to provide forwarding, but we don't listen to your calls or read your message content. Call metadata (who called, when, duration) is logged for your call history and billing.
Yes. All connections to the dashboard and API use TLS encryption. Sign-in uses passwordless magic links, so there's no password to store or leak.
Because your real number isn't the one you hand out, attacks targeting your Conduit number can't reach the phone you actually rely on. That's a meaningful benefit for security-conscious users.
Verification & Compliance
Phone carriers require identity verification to prevent fraud and comply with telecom regulations. It's a one-time process — once verified, you can purchase numbers.
Your full name, email address, and a valid address. The exact requirements depend on the country your number is in.
US and UK verifications are typically fast — often automatic. You'll be notified by email when you're approved.
Rejections are rare, usually due to an address that doesn't match records. You'll get the specific reason and can resubmit with corrected details. Contact support if you need a hand.
Yes. Verification data is encrypted and stored securely. We share only the minimum information required with carriers to complete verification. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Troubleshooting
Check that: 1) your forwarding number is correct and can receive calls, 2) your destination phone isn't blocking unknown numbers, and 3) you haven't reached your minute allowance (calls roll to voicemail at the cap). If issues persist, contact support.
Check your forwarding settings in the dashboard and your email spam folder. Note that some short codes and automated systems don't work with virtual numbers.
This usually means your destination phone is unreachable — no signal, Do Not Disturb, etc. Try calling your forwarding number directly to confirm it's working.
Poor quality usually comes from the destination phone's connection. Try moving to better signal, switching between WiFi and cellular, or testing a different destination number.
